I'm sure most of you are aware of today's main headline news for Malaysia. Yes, is on the issue of petrol subsidy. The plan is to have a new fuel/ petrol subsidy system this coming May 2010, that includes the following policies:-
1. The bigger engine
CC for your car, the more you pay for your fuel;
2. Non-Malaysians are not eligible for fuel subsidy; and
3. Purchase of fuel using MyKad with ePetrol service is made compulsary.
What do you think of this new fuel/ petrol subsidy plan?
Boh M@nners!? or Good Manners?
Or do you think the idea of a monthly 200 liters of petrol for each motorist regardless of the car engine capacity a better policy to be implemented? (
this idea was suggested by the FOMCA secretary general, Muhammad Shanni Abdullah)
Following is a illustration that shows how the ePetrol payment system works.
